If you are thinking about joining us when the new choir year begins in the Autumn, the term will start on 14 September, and we will be singing Vivaldi’s wonderful Gloria and Haydn’s ‘Maria Theresa’ Mass (Theresienmesse).  We expect that our end of term concert will be in late November/early December in the Great Hall at University College School.  More information will be circulated in the summer and posted on this website.

If you and your friends and family  might like to try choral singing, this term might offer a good opportunity and the first two rehearsals will be available to all to try out.  If so, please sign up for the choir’s mailing list here.

Over the last two years, we have offered Zoom rehearsals – most recently these have been hybrid live and online rehearsals and we may offer this alternative again, for those who are shielding or perhaps are prevented from attending by testing positive for COVID or from other illness, if enough people express interest. We will continue with some precautions against infection for those attending in person.

Some of you have asked which editions we will be using next term:

Vivaldi Gloria – Faber (£6.99)
Haydn Mass – Novello (£9.99)
The links are to Presto Music, but you should also be able to source scores from Amazon or local music shops such as Dot’s in Camden Town or Les Aldrich in Muswell HIll.
In the spring, we are intending to sing Rossini’s joyous Petite Messe Solonelle in the OUP edition (ed Fleming).  Again, this is available from Presto, Amazon or music stores.
