We welcome new singers in all voice parts.  Tenors and basses are especially welcome.

We do not audition new singers.  Not all new members can read music, though they often learn to do so during rehearsals, which consist of sectional sessions in which each voice part learns its notes, followed by full choir sessions in which we learn to sing together and to improve the sound we make. If you can sing in tune and are enthusiastic about singing, we would love to meet you.

You are welcome to come along for a couple of rehearsals before formally joining us. We undertake some quite challenging music and it is important, given there are many choirs of different levels in North London, that this is the right choir for you.

Since time is always short in rehearsals, we do expect singers to go over tricky parts of the music on their own, and will always recommend YouTube recordings and/or practice aids to help with this.

We normally perform three concerts each academic year.  In late November/early December and in late March/early April we perform major choral works often with full orchestra and professional soloists.    In late June we put on a shorter concert, normally with piano accompaniment and soloists from University College School. You can see a full list of our past concerts here.  We also hold an annual workshop at the start of the academic year for those who would like to warm up their vocal chords after the summer break.
