Summer 2020 Concert

Unfortunately it does not look likely that we will be able to resume rehearsals in the near future so sadly our usual Summer Term of rehearsals will not begin at the start of May. Obviously we will keep you informed if circumstances look like they might change.

Unfortunately our concert on Saturday, 25th April 2020 is now cancelled, along with our spring and summer rehearsal schedules.  Tickets - Please contact us if you have bought tickets and would like a refund. Our next concert will take place on Saturday 27 April 2019 in the Great Hall at UCS.  The programme includes Nelson Mass by Haydn, Funeral music for Queen Mary by Purcell and In Ecclesiis by Gabrieli.   Tickets are available online via Ticketsource (with a booking fee) or at rehearsals.

What happens inside when we sing?

This BBC magazine article explores what happens to us when we sing and explores how singing, particularly communally, can benefit our mental health.  It explains how singing can be a form of communication which we can access even when we feel shy or insecure.
